A case of robbery was opened against a military man from Yakutia, Ion Dmitriev, who was awarded the Order of Courage; he himself told Mediazona about this.
Yesterday, the Yakutsk City Court considered the investigation's request to arrest Dmitriev and decided not to send the man to a pre-trial detention center.
The military man confirmed this and added that he admitted guilt and plans to return to the front.
29-year-old Dmitriev gained fame at the end of 2025: then propagandists, including from RT, cited his story about how he “held the defense of a village in the DPR for one month.”
It was alleged that he went to the front as a volunteer, and the events described took place in February 2025 in the village of Burlatskoye. His call sign was also indicated - Aman.
When Dmitriev came from the front to Yakutia, he was awarded by the head of the region, Aisen Nikolaev. Ionov also publicly spoke at public propaganda events dedicated to the war in Ukraine, for example, at the “III Republican Anti-Fascist Forum”, which was organized by regional authorities, and where captured equipment was exhibited.
