A court in St. Petersburg fined Sasha Skochilenko in absentia under a protocol on “discrediting” the army for a comic about repressions

Judge Elena Samsonova of the Leninsky District Court of St. Petersburg fined former political prisoner Sasha Skochilenko 30 thousand rubles in absentia under the protocol on “discrediting” the army (Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code). Mediazona became aware of this.

The reason for drawing up the protocol was Sasha Skochilenko’s comic book “The Book of Repressions,” published in the telegram channel. In this comic, Skochilenko tells the story of his criminal case. Claims from the security forces were raised by 13 pages of the comic, including pages on which there are the words “No to war” and “Love is stronger than war and death.”

In November 2023, the Vasileostrovsky District Court of St. Petersburg sentenced Skochilenko to seven years in prison in the case of military “fakes” due to the fact that she replaced price tags in the Perekrestok store with anti-war stickers.

In August 2024, Sasha Skochilenko, as well as 15 other Russian political prisoners and foreigners convicted in Russia, were exchanged for eight Russians imprisoned in Europe and the United States. Among the latter were cyber fraudsters and agents of the Russian special services, including the killer of a Chechen field commander sentenced in Germany to life imprisonment.
