The echoes of the strikes at oil refineries reached retail gas stations. After a drone attack on TANECO and TAIF-NK in Nizhnekamsk, the TANECO plant completely stopped oil refining, Reuters reported. The result is a fuel crisis in the Volga region.

At Tatneft gas stations in Tatarstan, Chuvashia, Udmurtia, Samara and other regions, strict limits have been introduced: AI-92 is dispensed at 20 liters, AI-95 at 10, and in some places diesel has disappeared completely. Prices at independent gas stations have soared to 80–100 rubles.

To contain the shortage, the Russian government took extreme measures by allowing the production of low-quality Euro-3 fuel.
