Bashneft, Rosneft and TNK do not sell gasoline in cans

Rosneft gas stations, as well as those belonging to the Bashneft company and TNK, have banned the sale of gasoline in cans due to “increased seasonal demand” in all regions of Russia. The hotline operators reported this, Vorstka found out.

“Due to increased seasonal demand, refueling is only in the vehicle tank. This applies to all gas stations of the network, Rosneft, Bashneft and TNK. This information is provided for all Russian clients. The restrictions are temporary,” the operator added.

There may be restrictions on the volume of fuel poured into the tank.

In addition, the support said that the network has restrictions on refueling cars directly into the tank. However, according to the operator, this information should be clarified at the gas station “on the fly,” since conditions may change: “Today it’s one thing, tomorrow it’s another.”

Another operator of the company’s support service said that “as a rule” at gas stations there is a limit on refueling a car in the form of 90 liters, without specifying in which regions these limits apply. He added that information about the restrictions of 20–30 liters did not reach the hotline, and also advised checking the data at the gas stations themselves.

Due to the fuel crisis, gas stations in many regions of Russia are introducing restrictions on the sale of gasoline. These include limits on the number of liters for refueling, a ban on filling canisters, and the issuance of purchase coupons.

Some restrictions become federal. Thus, Tatneft introduced a limit on the sale of gasoline and diesel at all its gas stations, Interfax and RBC reported.

Previously, in annexed Crimea, amid problems with fuel, they began to resell gasoline at a cost that seriously exceeded the market price. Hotels, in turn, began to lure tourists with promises of paying for travel or donating liters of fuel. To alleviate the fuel crisis , the government allowed the sale of gasoline and diesel with lower environmental standards. At a number of refineries, the sulfur content of Euro-5 standard fuel actually corresponds to Euro-3.
