A man with a machete attacked visitors to a shopping center in Krasnodar. A woman died

A young man attacked visitors to a shopping center in Krasnodar, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported .

According to Shot, the attack took place in the West Mall shopping center. A young man with a bladed weapon entered the MFC office and attacked the people there. He also set off a homemade firecracker inside, local media reported. Local residents helped detain him.

Initially it was reported that there were two attackers, but the second person was detained by mistake and has already been released.

According to the Investigative Committee and the governor , one woman was killed and five people were injured. Among the wounded is a shopping center security guard who helped detain the attackers.

On social media, West Mall announced “an indefinite closure” without specifying the reason. A criminal case has been opened.
