
The Tverskoy Court in Moscow sent the former director of Aeroflot and top manager of Rostec Mikhail Poluboyarinov under arrest. As Mediazona reports , he is involved in a case of abuse of power, but his status is unknown.
The court hearing took place on June 19. The official reasons for the persecution of Poluboyarinov are not disclosed. It is known that in 2009–2019 Poluboyarinov worked in the state corporation VEB.RF. Sources of the Vedomosti newspaper reported that Poluboyarinov’s arrest may be related to his work at VEB.RF, in particular, to the reorganization of banks in 2016. According to Kommersant, Poluboyarinov is suspected of abuse of power during the reorganization of Svyaz-Bank and Globex Bank.
In April, the Tver court on a similar charge placed the current deputy chairman of the corporation, Artem Dovlatov, under house arrest.
Poluboyarinov worked at Aeroflot from November 2020 to March 2022. He left his position after personal sanctions were imposed against him. In March 2023, Poluboyarinov took a high position at Rostec. It was reported that he would deal with issues of financial support for the activities of the entire group of companies.
Rostec refused to comment on Poluboyarinov’s arrest to journalists. His relatives did not respond to calls and messages.
