Zelensky: Ukraine will force Russia to “choose peace” if Kyiv “appears to have what we talked about with our G7 partners”

Ukraine expects help from its partners, which was discussed at the G7 summit, to force Russia to “choose peace,” Vladimir Zelensky said in his evening address.

Our operation, including in Crimea, is clearly calculated. And the way it continues absolutely proves: if Ukraine gets what we talked about with our partners within the G7 - and this depends on the decision of the partners - we will quickly create conditions under which Russia will be forced to choose peace.

Zelensky added that Ukraine very much counts on a positive response from its partners, who “clearly know what they are talking about.” What exactly this means, the President of Ukraine did not disclose.

In his address, Zelensky also noted that Ukraine’s long-range strikes achieve their goals by disrupting Russia’s military logistics, and fuel shortages due to attacks on refineries have already been observed in more than 60 Russian regions.
