The Ukrainian Armed Forces hit two oil refineries in Ufa with drones

The Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked Ufa in Bashkortostan with drones, which is more than 1,500 km from the border with Ukraine. The danger of UAVs was declared in the region, and restrictions were introduced on the operation of the mobile Internet.

As ASTRA's OSINT analysis showed, two oil refineries were damaged as a result of the strikes - Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim and presumably Bashneft-UNPZ (both owned by the Bashneft oil company).

The attack on the region was confirmed by the head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov. According to him, the attack was “repulsed”, but “the fragments of the UAV fell in the industrial zone.” No one was injured, businesses are operating as normal.

The Bashneft company (part of Rosneft) operates three powerful oil refineries in this industrial zone, located practically close to each other: Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim, Bashneft-Novoil, Bashneft-UNPZ.

In mid-June, Khabirov said that almost a hundred maneuverable fire groups were being formed in the region.

We are already quite seriously, let's say, bristling. But the enemy is sophisticated, the enemy is active. And our republic is, of course, an obvious goal. We are preparing to defend ourselves,” Khabirov said then.
