In Crimea there are again blackouts, some trains are canceled

On the night of June 25, Ukrainian drones again massively attacked energy facilities in the annexed Crimea, in particular in Simferopol.

According to a number of reports , the Tavricheskaya Thermal Power Plant near Simferopol was attacked. The Russian head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, reported that in the village of Denisovka, Simferopol district and in the Krasnogvardeisky district, two people were killed, including a child, and two more were injured as a result of night attacks. The Ukrainian military strikes have not yet been commented on.

In annexed Sevastopol, where the day before there was no light in a number of areas for almost the entire day, a “mode of temporary restrictions on power supply” was introduced, said Russian-appointed governor Mikhail Razvozhaev. According to him, this is a “forced” measure and it is necessary to eliminate the overload of electrical networks outside the region in order to prevent an accident in the entire energy system.

Due to power outages in different parts of Crimea, rolling and emergency power outages continue, and in some settlements they warned about problems with water supply, Krym.Realii notes .

Aksyonov, in turn, announced a reduction in the number of Tavria trains running from Russia to Crimea and back. As Aksyonov wrote , 7 trains will depart daily to and from Crimea, and they will only go to the Kerch-Yuzhnaya station. Earlier, the Ukrainian military reported the destruction of the bridge on the Kerch-Dzhankoy section, which may be one of the reasons that trains no longer reach Simferopol and Sevastopol. “Other trains operating this season will be canceled gradually over two weeks,” Aksyonov wrote.

In addition, there is still no freely available fuel in Crimea. At the exit from Crimea at the Kerch Bridge, as of the morning of June 25, there are more than 800 cars in line.

The Ukrainian military has stepped up attacks on Crimea and the routes leading to it in recent weeks. The stated goal is logistical isolation of the peninsula, primarily the Russian group of troops located there.
