An oil depot in Poltavskaya caught fire again after a UAV attack: 269 drones were shot down over Russian regions at night

On the night of June 25, the Krasnodar region again found itself under attack by drones. In the village of Poltavskaya, Krasnoarmeisky district, after the fall of UAV debris, an oil depot caught fire, and in the Abinsk region, fragments of drones were found at several addresses at once.

According to the regional operational headquarters, the fire on the territory of the oil depot in Poltavskaya began due to the fall of debris from a drone. Preliminarily, there were no casualties. Operational and special services were at the scene.

After the attack, traffic on the road from the village of Poltavskaya to the Trudobelikovsky farm was temporarily blocked.

Unofficial reports claim that three tanks at the Poltava oil depot may have been hit. These data were not officially confirmed at the time of publication.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the morning of June 25 that overnight, from 20:00 on June 24 to 07:00 on June 25, air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 269 aircraft-type drones over the territories of the Russian regions, the Krasnodar Territory, the Moscow region, annexed Crimea and the Black Sea.

The department again did not specify exactly how many drones were deployed directly to Kuban.

In addition to the Krasnoarmeysky district, the consequences of the attack were recorded in the Abinsky district. According to the operational headquarters, debris from the UAV was found at several addresses. There were no casualties.

In Abinsk, due to falling fragments of drones, a fire broke out on the territory of one of the enterprises. The fire, according to authorities, was quickly extinguished. Also, UAV debris fell on an abandoned site in the village of Mingrelskaya.

At night, alarms were also announced on the coast. In Sochi, at about 00:15, the warning system siren was turned on due to the threat of a drone attack; less than an hour later, the authorities announced that the threat had been canceled. In the morning, the threat of a UAV attack in Gelendzhik was also canceled.

This is not the first time that the Poltava oil depot has been reported after drone attacks. Earlier, on June 16, authorities also reported a fire at an oil depot in the village of Poltavskaya after the fall of UAV debris. Then, as now, the road between Poltavskaya and the Trudobelikovsky farm was temporarily blocked.

In recent weeks, drone attacks have increasingly led to fires at fuel and port infrastructure facilities in the Krasnodar Territory. Authorities regularly use the phrase “falling debris,” but on the ground this increasingly means fires at oil depots, refineries, terminals, damaged businesses and blocked roads.
