Dagestan and Chechnya are among the leading regions in terms of rising fuel prices

From June 18 to June 25, the most significant increase in gasoline prices was recorded in Crimea, Dagestan, Chechnya and the Ivanovo region. Such data was obtained by the editors of “Layout” after analyzing information from the Benzup service.

In Dagestan, the cost of AI-92 gasoline increased by 18.6%, reaching 90.9 rubles per liter, which puts the republic in second place in terms of growth rates. In terms of the increase in the price of AI-95 (by 15.9% - to 96.3 rubles), Dagestan took third place, and in terms of the increase in the price of diesel fuel (17%) - first. In Chechnya, over the same week, AI-92 gasoline rose in price by 17.3%.
In Crimea, the most significant weekly increase in prices for AI-92 was recorded - by 27.2%, to 117.1 rubles per liter. The cost of AI-95 increased by 21.1%, amounting to 118.9 rubles, and diesel fuel increased in price by 11.6%.

Against the backdrop of these events, official restrictions were introduced in Dagestan: no more than 20 liters of gasoline and 50 liters of diesel fuel are allowed to be sold to one person. Similar measures were taken in Adygea, explaining them by rush demand. In the North Caucasus, restrictions on the sale of fuel also apply in the Stavropol Territory.

The fuel crisis in Russian regions arose in connection with Ukrainian attacks on oil refineries. According to Reuters, the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strikes led to the suspension of operations at large oil refineries in central Russia. As a result, by mid-June, gasoline production was down about 25% compared to the June 2025 daily average.
