The Russian government allocated more than 385 million rubles from the reserve fund to Dagestan and Chechnya. The funds will be used to pay residents of the republics affected by floods.
According to the Cabinet of Ministers, the money will cover the regions' expenses for material assistance to people who have partially or completely lost their property. In addition, in June alone, more than 2.8 billion rubles were allocated to eliminate the consequences of natural disasters and pay victims.
As of June 25, more than 56.8 thousand people in Dagestan received assistance, and the amount of payments exceeded 2 billion rubles. The number of unconsidered applications decreased from 85 thousand to 59 thousand.
In the spring of 2026, heavy rainfall caused floods in several regions of Dagestan and Chechnya. The disaster damaged residential buildings and social infrastructure. On behalf of Vladimir Putin, a special commission was created to coordinate restoration work.
