Vladimir Putin held a meeting on supplying the domestic market with fuel with the participation of heads of leading energy companies, the Kremlin press service reported.
According to Putin, in the current situation, the capacity of the largest oil refineries is being used to the maximum; medium and small enterprises are involved, and the time frame for ongoing repairs is reduced.
The President said that already in July the production of main types of fuel should exceed the June figures, and now the previously accumulated volumes of fuel have entered the domestic market. At the same time, despite the use of reserves, gasoline reserves “almost correspond to the level for the same period last year,” Putin added. According to him, gasoline reserves amount to 1.7 million tons, which is 4% less than the same period last year.
However, there is still a gasoline shortage, Putin noted. “You know very well that problems for both motorists and businesses remain. Unfortunately, there are also queues at gas stations. And the right brand of gasoline can’t always be found now,” he said.
