The city authorities have temporarily stopped “improvement” activities in the form of cutting down more than 50 linden trees on Sovetskaya Street in the city center. This was reported by the publication “Once Upon a Time in Bashkiria”.
A few days ago, the mayor's office announced that the trees were recognized as unsafe and were subject to cutting down. Active citizens met near the linden trees with the vice-mayor of Ufa and his colleagues from the administration, who were unable to provide evidence on the spot that the trees were damaged. As a result, officials announced that they would provide complete clarity on the situation on June 30.
“As it turned out, there are not 53 emergency trees, but only 10, and we only found one that was dry. And the Ufa residents came to the meeting very active, persistent, legally prepared,” “Once Upon a Time in Bashkiria” quotes the words of local resident Evgenia Kutsueva.
