In the Karachaevsky district of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, the search continues for a Moscow tourist who disappeared on June 19 while rafting on the Uchkulan River.
Rescuers have already examined the most difficult sections of the Uchkulan and Kuban rivers and covered more than 150 km. Dog handlers were involved in the search. The coastal area, river beds and adjacent areas are being examined. 22 people are involved in the search operation.
The incident occurred on June 19. Two tourists from Moscow were rafting on Uchkulan in the Karachaevsky district when, due to a catamaran capsizing, both fell into the water. One of the men managed to escape on his own, but the second was dragged underwater by a strong current.
