Complex tactical drills are being held in Kazakhstan to bring troops to the highest level of combat readiness. This was reported by the country's Ministry of Defense.
According to the department, the exercises will take place from June 29 to July 2 of this year in military units and institutions of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan.
“The activities are aimed at improving the practical skills of personnel and units when bringing them to the highest levels of combat readiness,” the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
It is noted that the exercises are planned, they will take place mainly on the territories of military units and training grounds, and therefore the movement of equipment is possible. Individual units will march to training grounds and training centers. At this time, temporary traffic restrictions are possible on certain sections of roads in the regions, the department warned.
In May 2026, the presidents of Kazakhstan and Turkey, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, signed an agreement to create a joint venture to produce ANKA drones. In 2023, it was reported that military personnel of the regional command “South” were conducting trial operation of such drones.
