Putin held a meeting on the fuel crisis and acknowledged the queues at gas stations

On the evening of June 28, Vladimir Putin held a meeting on supplying the domestic market with fuel with the participation of heads of major energy companies, the Kremlin press service reported .

What was discussed at the meeting. According to Putin, refineries are now operating “at maximum”, medium and small enterprises are involved in fuel production, and repair times have been reduced. The politician also said that in July the production of main types of fuel should exceed June figures.

At the same time, Putin admitted that problems with fuel persist. “Unfortunately, there are also queues at gas stations. And the right brand of gasoline can’t always be found now,” he said.

According to Putin, previously accumulated fuel reserves have already been sent to the domestic market. According to him, gasoline reserves “almost correspond” to last year’s level and amount to 1.7 million tons - 4% less than for the same period in 2025.

What Putin thinks about the attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. After the meeting, the politician also interviewed propagandist Pavel Zarubin. In a conversation with him, he admitted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ strikes on Russian infrastructure “create problems” and lead to “a certain deficit,” but called it “not critical.”

To overcome the deficit, Putin said, it is necessary to increase the production of air defense systems to protect important facilities, complete repairs faster and ensure the necessary volume of imports.

At the same time, Putin called attacks on infrastructure not only an attempt to cause damage, but also an “information operation”, the purpose of which is to “generate uncertainty” and achieve “a split in Russian society.” According to him, these attacks “have absolutely no effect on the situation at the front.”
