Chelyabinsk environmentalist writes to Putin urging him to end the war, calls on Russians to do the same
On July 20, Oleg Magazov, a 60-year-old environmentalist and lead engineer at the State Center for Environmental Monitoring of Chelyabinsk Oblast, wrote to Vladimir Putin, calling on him to return Russia to its 2022 borders and begin negotiations with Ukraine.
Magazov also asked Putin to allow anyone wishing to relocate from Donbas to Russia to do so. He then encouraged other Russians to follow his example and write a letter to the president.
"So because of gay pride parades, you support the mass killing of Russians and Ukrainians? How morally bankrupt have Russians become? I suggest you focus on your own country instead of trying to teach your neighbors how to live," the environmentalist replied to critics in the comments.
