The premiere of the Polo Premiere announced that the “Lady with the Dog” is the second part of the Ginkas trilogy according to Chekhov “Life is Beautiful”. The first was the Black Monk, the third will be the Rothschild violin. It seems that any other director could name a series of his performances “Life is beautiful”, or most likely - Peter Fomenko. But not Ginkas, for which existential despair and gloomy pessimism are building materials of creativity. The world is hostile to his hero, surrounding the vulgar, and to go through suffering and fight for happiness is given only in order to make sure that all this is pointless and hopeless. Then the heroes will put light summer suits over the swimsuits, and a resort novel will begin, at first similar to a thousand of the same: a woman rushes around her neck, then cries, the man is persistent, then mockingly lazy. Ginkas, as in the Black Monk, does not break the story into dialogs. The entire author’s text with deviations and thoughts of Gurov was given to the heroes, and a detached, rational look cools the flaring up love story. Metaphors of love become
