Eldar Ryazanov is one of the few people who are happy to talk about their shortcomings. The lazy one was the first sofa when, together with Emil Braginsky, he wrote scripts and books. Fulfilling an order for a social satire, he tried to do without mentoring and didactics in his films, and if he embellished the Council (to recall at least “Beware of the car”: good investigators and humane thieves, crying “Freedom to Yuri Detochkin!”, Departure from the Hybracks for the performance, etc.), he did it with irony and grace. And the devoted viewer still after both 20 and 30 years continues to watch Ryazanov’s films. "You will laugh, but I have 75. I survived!" It is these words that begins the invitation to the anniversary evening that the director's friends received.
