The weekly journal September 17, 2002 photos of Anatoly Zhuravlev and another exhibition about painting after the death of the picture. Like Shishkin, Berlinets Zhuravlev has not drawn paintings for a long time. The exception was made only for a new project - Zhuravlev “painted” several tiny canvases in the style of abstract expressionism. However, in the "Aidan Gallery" not these canvases are exhibited, but large-format and high-quality photos from them. As an illustrations for the thesis that the photo was forever squeezed by painting in rights. And that today we organically perceive the picture only on reproductions in the album. Just as the surrounding reality is given to us not in the immediate sensations, but in the pictures on the screen of the TV or on the pages of the magazine. Therefore, at the exhibition, giant photo prints are complemented by a garland of small glass balls, on which very tiny pictures-shirts are pasted, borrowed from the media. These games with the dimensions and technologies of Zhuravlev refresh the audience perception, forcing to look at the picture and the television screen in a new way.
