Jean-Luk Godar (France), 1965 The most vivid and boring film of the French “New Wave” (nominee on the “Golden Leo” in Venice in 1965) and one of the best roles of Belmondo. Crazy Pierrot (Zhanpol Belmondo) and his random fellow traveler Marianna (Anna Karina) flee from Paris to the Mediterranean Sea, transplanting from one stolen car to another, fighting off enemies and pursuers and reasoning about art and philosophy - as the heroes of Godard is supposed to. By the way, Pierrot is actually called Ferdinand.
