The previous Chi book by Elena Fanailova was called “With Special Cynicism”, and there the notorious cynicism and the author’s inconsistent talent, as it were, fought on an equal footing. It would be logical to expect the development of events - for example, one will overcome the other. It turned out, however, otherwise: yesterday's rivals moved to cooperation. Fruitful? In its kind.
“Transylvania bothers” I did not like at all. If I were not afraid to raise my voice, I would call this book dangerous and harmful. Because it is being laid a very important line - between literature and talking about literature. It completely lacks the freshness of poetic breathing. It, as it were, for internal use, is similar to answers to familiar writers in the Microsoft Outlook system. Many are named (Dashevsky, Rubinstein, Anashevich), I read the rest without difficulty: Aizenberg, Vodennikov, Kibirov. This resembles a concert of virtuoso -improviser - variations on other people's topics. Behind the whole book there is some aggressively empty world, saturated with details, but devoid of through meaning. “A wow,” the reader will grin. And you stick out the window. " Right. This is the outside world, but not stitched by our will. Like the metro, in which we went down without a goal to get somewhere. Natural hell. And if you are in a hurry on business, it's okay. Metro as a metro.
Between us, Elena, does not bother the Transylvania. So why was the garden to fence? Leonid Kostyukov
