Road to Arlington / Arlington Road
Mark Pellington, USA, 1999 Starring Jeff Bridges, Tim Robbins, Joan Cusack www.arlingtonroad.com Hollywood's strange hobby of late is to scare the viewer to death. So that after the session you want to buy a year's supply of food and lock yourself in a musty, but relatively safe room. Six months ago, in the film “The Siege,” New York buses, offices and theaters were blown up with maximum authenticity, tanks drove along Broadway, and concentration camps were set up in stadiums.

Tel Aviv. Massive Attack concert As part of the Massive Attack European tour - a performance in Tel Aviv's Cinerama. CSKA VS LOKOMOTIVE, SPARTAK VS DYNAMO.
Two matches will take place on the same day, directly related to the fight for gold. After the historic victory at the Stade de France, our team no longer seemed pathetic, and the Russian championship no longer seemed like a spectacle for drunken teenagers. After all, most players play in Russian clubs. the number of those who defeated world champions. July 3 is a hot football Saturday.

Peter Weil. Genius loci
There are so many words in the Russian language! And all of them must be used, preferably in one book. On the first flyleaf of Peter Weil’s book there is Riga, on the second - New York. Between them fits almost the entire world and 479 pages of text about it. The author chooses a city he has visited and a figure that, in the author’s opinion, most accurately conveys the spirit of this city.

Varsity Blues student team
22-year-old James Van Der Beek (pictured left) never leaves the covers and spreads of Western youth magazines. MTV recently presented him with its film prize for his role in “Student Squad” - as “Best New Actor” for the year 1998. The new idol has the ruddy, soft skin of a teenager and yet has the aura of a good hero - in the sense that you can rely on him. We can say that this season, loving this guy is as fashionable as wearing Gucci. If you want to stay informed, buy a video cassette.

Grigory Oster. Legends and myths of Lavrovy Lane
Children love Auster quite rightly. “Bad Advice” is an absolute masterpiece of children's literature. Unfortunately, Auster’s subsequent books were greatly inferior to the “Soviets.” But finally it dawned on the author. Children have been needing a new book of funny short stories for a long time. Nosov’s “Dreamers” and Dragunsky’s “Deniska’s Stories” are in such steady demand that it is absolutely clear that there is simply nothing new in this genre. And now there is.

Buona sera!
NEW PIZZA EXPRESS It is very pleasant to visit the new buildings. Especially when the air in them is fresh and the surfaces shine with cleanliness. Any face in such an environment looks pretty. A new restaurant has been opened in the new Nautilus shopping complex. Separate entrance. Chilly. The windows are somewhere upstairs. And below there is modern, environmentally friendly furniture. Stained glass and strange paintings are common.

PREMIERE OF THE FILM “THE MUMMY”. Finally, you can calmly and with a clear conscience crunch on popcorn. All spring, distributors have been mercilessly feeding us either Hollywood films that claim to be highly artistic, or Hollywood films that claim to be completely savage. It was depressing without well-tailored, empty-headed blockbusters. The ancient mummy rose in all the splendor of computer special effects, and everything became good.
