PETER SCHREIER SINGS AND CONDUCTS Concerts of “two-faced” musicians, who play two roles in one evening - soloists and conductors, always attract full houses. The sight of a pianist who has played his cadenzas and comes to the conductor's stand can revive the canonical ideas about the concert. On March 23, in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, you will be able to see the German tenor Peter Schreier from the back (as the conductor of Bach’s oratorio “St.

Virgin Records/Melankolik To the great sadness of the fans, the fathers of trip-hop Massive Attack are making music less and less and are increasingly scouring the world in search of a worthy replacement. They even founded their own label for this. The next “morning stars” - Phelim Byrne and Donnie Hardridge - sang due to the joint consumption of alcohol. As the libations progressed, it turned out that writing music for a couple is also handy.

When The Chinese Flyer opened, nothing much happened. Just another club has appeared where you can have a cheap meal with friends and at the same time listen to a good concert. But that was not the case. Soon strange things began to happen in the “Pilot”, such as a concert by the German duo Stereo Total, a performance by a group of Finnish freaks called Cleaning Women, and, finally, the opening of the “Kuker House”.

“Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants” Big Brother Recordings / Sony Music Half of Europe is dying for Oasis. A banal rock 'n' roll joke. Cocaine-fueled euphoric melodies. Viscous and viscous voice of Liam Gallagher. But on the other hand, not a single new note, nothing of our own. Epigonism raised to a principle. The next album has the same story. Looks like they've started recording updates.

STILL LIFE BY DAVID STERENBERG AT THE MOSCOW ARTS CENTER Shterenberg loses a lot in reproductions – and conversations. Anyone who calls the balanced composition of his still lifes “philosophical” is distracted by the way Shterenberg literally sculpts the surface, imprinting the lace of napkins in a colorful layer, resorting almost to dummies - sweets, cakes, layered plywood. Because of this sensual texture, philosophy acquires clearly hedonistic features...

Two older brothers must avenge the death of the younger one - a blue-eyed boy, a Marxist and a local madman. Ren TV

Primal Scream have always balanced between tradition and innovation, while inevitably falling into one of the extremes. We started with punk hard rock. Then they became modest imitators of the Rolling Stones, and in the late 90s they dabbled in muddy psychedelic dub. Today's album “Exterminator” is beyond the struggle of opposites. It is equal parts new music and the best thing ever played.

“OTELLO” IN THE VAKHTANGO THEATER Evgeny Vakhtangov died too early, staged too little, and his main legacy was a riddle more complex than the one that his Turandot asked. What is “Vakhtangov”, can it be revived, imitated or created anew - the Vakhtangov Theater has been looking for answers to these questions throughout its history. Several years ago, director Vladimir Mirzoev invited Vakhtangov actors to his performances.
