Almost the entire midst of autumn in Ingushetia took place a non -stop mass protest, almost for the first time in the history of the republic united almost all layers of local society. The Ingush opposed the agreement on the new Chechen-Ingush border and, along the way, not only invented several original ways of resisting pressure without violence, but, it seems, first showed an previously unknown type of civil self-awareness in Russia.
