How the artist fled from the Maidan to Nizhny Tagil
Igor Demakov lived in Kyiv for 25 years, in 2015 he had to return to the Urals, to Nizhny Tagil, where he was born and raised. He almost inhabited his long life in Ukraine in two suitcases, leaving a job, an apartment and most of the paintings in Kyiv. Now the artist is looking for his place in the city of childhood, where everything is old, including the love of his youth, and is trying to understand where his house is. Over the table, icons and paintings hang.
