The Kremlin faces exclusion from the UNESCO cultural heritage list
The leadership of UNESCO demanded that the Union of Architects of Russia report on the condition of the monument. It is assumed that UNESCO's concern is related to the construction of pavilions on the territory of the Kremlin near the Kutafya Tower and a technical building in the Taininsky Garden, as well as the reconstruction of the 14th building. The report will be considered by UNESCO at its June 2013 session. Then it will be decided whether to exclude the Kremlin from the list or not.
