Chapter 2. Messenger of Jehud The train, in which the expelled ones rode, connected incompatible people. There were Polish officials, Jewish merchants and artisans, in life they crossed with each other rarely or never. They even had different languages, but in the echelon everyone spoke Polish. Relations in this strange team were very good. They talked about the war, about families who remained somewhere in the distance, and especially talked about Vilna.
