10 defendants in the “student case” in Belarus were released after 2.5 years in prison, reports Radio Svaboda . The student, teacher and graduate were accused of “organizing actions that grossly violate public order” after protests and strikes in September 2020. Students Maria Kalenik, Ksenia Syromolot, Kasya Budko, Victoria Grankovskaya, Anastasia Bulybenko, Yana Orobeyko, Ilya Trakhtenberg and Yegor Kanetsky, as well as graduate Alana Gebremariam and teacher Filatchenkova, were released.
