32 people left the Union of Journalists in response to the expulsion of fellow “foreign agents”
32 Karelian journalists left the Union of Journalists of Russia as a sign of solidarity with the chairman of the Union’s Karelia branch, Georgiy Chentemirov, and a member of his board, Natalya Sevets-Ermolina. At the end of April, they were expelled from the Union of Journalists due to their “foreign agent” status. On March 3, 2022, the Karelian Union of Journalists, led by Chentemirov, spoke out against military censorship.
