At least 17 monuments to victims of repression were damaged in Russia after February 24, 2022
At least 17 monuments to those repressed in the USSR were damaged in nine regions of Russia. As a rule, monuments to repressed Poles and Lithuanians suffer the most. As calculated by “7x7”, as of June 21, 2023, 15 monuments were damaged: in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Karelia, Sverdlovsk region, Tomsk region, Irkutsk region and the Republic of Sakha.
