Russia closes the standings
Statistics are a cruel thing. You can be proud of your huge gold and foreign exchange reserves and the powerful Stabilization Fund as much as you want, but you look at the ruthless numbers, and it’s immediately clear: the Russian economy is stagnating. And the leader, by the way, is Ukraine. Against our 7.1%, its GDP growth was as much as 12%. But, of course, there is no need to despair.

Illarionov performs again
"For a country that wants to build a solid future, there is only one way - returning the company to the owner. Moreover, I am sure that this will happen sooner or later." This is the statement of the presidential adviser. Moreover, the second part of it is much more interesting than the first. In essence, Mr. Illarionov doubted that Vladimir Putin’s regime in Russia would last forever. It’s interesting: is Mr. Sechin pleased to hear this?

Berezovsky is getting closer
Chernomyrdin wakes up one day, goes to the window of his embassy bedroom, looks out into the street, and there he is already. He stands opposite with some vile banner in his hands, and behind him several thousand people shout nasty things at Vladimir Putin. Chernomyrdin opens the window and shouts: “Listen, Borya. What bad have I done to you in life? If you’re for Svyazinvest, it’s not me. It’s Chubais. Why are you doing this to me in my old age? After all, they’ll definitely remove me.

Putin - well-timed hip throw
Faith in the good Tsar in Rus' is as strong as faith in the Tsar in general. Living without a king in the head, but with the Tsar in the heart is our custom. And although almost everyone who reappears on the Kremlin throne is initially perceived with caution and distrust, not much time passes and we can no longer imagine our lives without him. And it is unclear how we lived without him before and how we will live after him. And when will it come after?

We are their government - on the drum
The power was frightened, bristled and hid in a corner. In a situation where an unprecedented threat appeared before her - the protest of the street - she was not able to develop adequate response measures. Her vital activity was essentially reduced to two reactions: the power from time to time snaps and constantly spoils the air. For example, a wave of disparate repressions against the organizers of folk unrest (such cases are recorded in St.

Let's hit the road with preaching
Experts estimate that a broadcast license should cost about $1 million, and annual costs could reach $100 million. Until now, the Moscow Patriarchate has been reluctant to shell out money even for its more pressing needs - for example, the maintenance of theological schools. And it is unlikely that the Church has such funds.

Total one-sidedness
Chief engineer of the Scientific Research Institute of the General Plan of Moscow, Yuri Korotkov, said that the project for one-way traffic along the Garden Ring will be finalized within a year. “There are two general options. The first involves organizing traffic clockwise, the second - counterclockwise,” Korotkov said. This is a very original proposal. I, of course, can also suggest organizing movement across the Ring, but this option is even worse than the two available.

A miscarriage in the Duma
Today in the Duma there was a miscarriage. She failed the vote of no confidence in the government. But as I wanted! Even "United Russia" wanted. Lyubov Slisk urged Zurabov to voluntarily resign. At the same time, her eyes burned with love for her homeland. And the "homeland", apparently, was generally divorced. After all, it seems that the hunger strike was announced on the basis of some kind of confidential information from the Kremlin. “Like, we will fire. Starring. " And what happened?

Trained justice
YUNG and YUKOS appealed the decision on additional taxes to the courts more than 30 times. And each time the company lost. But as soon as it was sold for “additionally accrued” debts, the arbitration court’s eyes were opened and the cassation court overturned the decision to accrue additional taxes to YNG of more than 9 billion rubles for 1999.

Dialogue without intermediaries
In Russia, such a committee was liquidated in the early 90s, but in Ukraine it has survived to this day. Now the situation is changing. “The authorities will work openly with every confession,” Viktor Yushchenko said yesterday. Well, that's right. The presence of the committee did not prevent the Ukrainian Orthodox from quarreling to such an extent that as many as three Orthodox churches appeared there, which to this day share the flock and property.

Still, Fradkov is in trouble
Officials, according to predictors of the future, will face a “kaleidoscopic change of events” that can be dealt with only “without giving in to panic and not being led by circumstances.” Well, frankly speaking, this is not about our officials - they are always in a state of panic, and are led, if not by circumstances, then by President Putin, which is basically the same thing, because where will you find a circumstance of greater force?

Greetings from Paris
Condoleezza Rice gave a speech in Paris on the prospects for relations between America and Europe. The US Secretary of State believes that transatlantic cooperation is necessary to establish democracy in the world. It is interesting how Rice characterizes the enemies of freedom.

Hello non-competitors
The information lasted for about a day that Roman Abramovich could become the head of Russian football. However, by the end of the day on Wednesday it became clear that he was not applying for the post of head of the RFU. It can be added that Abramovich will not apply for the post of governor of Chukotka, for the post of Minister of Health, for a stake in Voronezhshchina OJSC, or for the Booker Prize. Why? Because he doesn't want to.

Thank you, Duma!
A revolutionary solution: now those pensioners whose age has exceeded 80 years and who are disabled group III, the basic part of the pension will be 2100 rubles. But only if they have a dependent disabled family member. If two disabled members are dependent, then 2400 rubles. If more - as much as 2700. I would like to thank our deputies on behalf of elderly disabled pensioners with dependents.

"United Russia" chickened out
112 people voted for a vote of no confidence in the government, 20 were against, and four abstained. And the United Russia faction, almost in its entirety, refused to vote. It is clear that a clear order has come from the Kremlin: the government must stay. But supporting the cabinet today means incurring the wrath of the electorate. So the deputies from the party in power ran away, only to later say: “We had nothing to do with it, we were sick then.
