Interreligious Council established in Switzerland
The body, the creation of which was conceived three years ago, is intended to become the main interlocutor of the Swiss government in religious matters, the TSR television company notes. The head of the Swiss Federation of Protestant Churches, Thomas Wimpf, was elected Chairman of the Council. The Council will deal not so much with issues of theological dialogue, but with current problems.
