On December 7, Pyotr Weil, editor-in-chief of the Russian Service of Radio Liberty, died. He was 60 years old. Peter Weil was in a coma for more than a year as a result of severe heart disease. Peter Weil was born in Riga, graduated from the editorial department of the Moscow Printing Institute. In 1977 he emigrated to the USA, and since 1984 he has collaborated with the Russian Service. Since 1995 he lived in Prague.
