The Memorial Society addressed the Governor of the Primorsky Territory, Sergei Darkin, with an open letter.

On May 2, a protest against cars with flashing lights was once again held in Moscow, this time a pedestrian one. Ten protesters were detained by riot police. As Ekho Moskvy reports, the riot police did not introduce themselves or present documents, but explained that the action was not authorized. The participants did not hold posters in their hands and did not shout slogans. However, the ominous buckets with Balshazzar’s inscriptions “Ya migalko” were regarded as a poster.
