Lawyer Violetta Volkova reported that she could not find her client, RKRP-RPK activist Konstantin Lebedev, who was arrested for two months on charges of preparing to organize mass riots. It was previously announced that he had been transferred to Butyrka, but Volkova was told that he was not listed there. The lawyer intends to visit all Moscow pre-trial detention centers in search of Lebedev.

The regional election committee was expelled from the Moscow cafe Arte-FAQ to conduct voting for the Opposition Coordination Council. This was announced by the Chairman of the Central Election Committee Leonid Volkov. Earlier, he talked about the temporary suspension of the work of the committee in Chelyabinsk, where FSB officers showed up with a search due to the fact that one of the committee members was suspected of involvement in the Muslim extremist movement.

On October 20, elections to the Coordination Council (CC) of the Russian opposition began, which will last until the end of the day on October 21. As the organizers predicted, participants in online voting (and all elections, including offline polls, take place only on the Internet) faced DDoS attacks. There were reports that the Central Election Committee (CEC) website cvk2012.org was not opening, and that registered voters could not pass the verification required to vote online.

Due to the fact that for almost ten hours on October 20, those wishing to vote in the elections to the Coordination Council of the Russian Opposition were unable to vote, the elections were extended until the evening of October 22. A new voting site has been opened - cvk2012.ru, but it is currently down and it is not possible to vote. The rally on Trubnaya ended without incident.
