At the end of last week, the State Duma adopted in the third reading the new law “On Education in the Russian Federation.” Exclusively with the votes of deputies from United Russia, the Communist Party faction and the Fair Russia faction did not vote for the law, which the deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Education, communist Oleg Smolin, called “the end of education” in Russia.
