After selective viewing over the past week of several programs of Russian television and several Russian newspapers, I tried to bring the contents of all that was viewed under a common denominator, removing a purely propaganda component from this denominator. The fact that “Crimean”, “Putinopyatvsellylly” and “Obamachmo” is understandable. What else? What kind of worldview does our media carry the audience? The answer to this question turned out to be frightening.

There is no strength to watch how smart decent people go crazy. They lose their dignity and mind, begin to fuss finely and with trembling hands to harass unreasonable solitaires from a crawled deck. Look around and make excuses, aggressively pouncing on everyone and everyone who draws attention to how their reputation melts. As yesterday, the views that seemed principles turn into disposable shirts, suitable only for a beggarly funeral rite.

The anxiety that the Russian public experienced about the next disappearance of the head of the Russian state turned out to be in vain. Vladimir Putin is alive and well. It was just that the president decided to spend some time in the Valaam monastery, where he proved to be at the liturgy that Patriarch Kirill served, prayed and took a holy communion.

In those short minutes while I am writing these lines, the petition for the dissolution of the Russian national football team has probably been signed by several thousand more people. Do we already have a million or are we just a little short of reaching it? No problem, we'll get it! The record has already been set. Nothing upset Russians more than the performance of football players.
