In Poland, the eightieth anniversary of the beginning of World War II is celebrated. Last Sunday in the border city of Velun, which was the first to hit German aviation, a ceremony with the participation of Polish presidents and Germany Andrzej Duda and Frank-Walter Steinmeier began in a moment of silence.

Democracy, which arose in ancient Athens and existing in many countries now, always has two signs - freedom of assembly and honest elections. The third sign, which is the guarantor of the existence of democracy, is real political competition. Everything else (separation of powers, independent court, free press) is actually the result of the presence of democracy. If there are no listed signs, it is impossible to achieve results either individually or together.
