From Frankenstein to Faulkner
Afterword by Lyubov Summa to the late novel by Mary Shelley We are accustomed to considering Mary Shelley primarily as the author of the early novel Frankenstein and know quite little about her further creative evolution. But now we have the opportunity to eliminate this gap - the writer’s later work, the novel Faulkner, has been published in Russian. With the kind permission of the publisher, we publish an afterword to it, written by Lyubov Summ.

Bright name - joy
About the novel “The Names of Felisa” by Juan Gabriel Vazquez Colombian artist and sculptor Felisa Burshtyn lived a stormy and eventful life, in which there was also a place for friendship with Gabriel García Márquez. However, Juan Gabriel Vázquez, who dedicated his last work to Felisa, deliberately leaves the image of the writer aside in order to focus on the fate of the heroine and emphasize both the difficulties and losses she experienced, and the joyful, life-loving nature of her work.
