Chomolungma is getting lower
Chinese scientists have found that over the past 33 years, the snow cover of the highest mountain peak in the world, Chomolungma, has become 1.3 meters thinner. It is reported by Interfax with reference to Chinese television. Chomolungma is located in the Himalayas, on the border of Nepal and China. The height of the mountain peak, including snow cover, in 1966 was 8849.75 meters above sea level. In 1975, it decreased to 8849.05 meters, in 1992 the peak became even lower - 8849.04 meters.
