Riots in Dresden: 40 police officers injured
At least 70 people, including 40 police officers, were injured on Thursday evening during riots in Dresden. According to RIA Novosti with reference to the German media, the clashes had no political underpinnings. Groups of young people celebrated "Father's Day" and, in a state of drunkenness, began to throw stones, bottles and firecrackers towards the police. 50 hooligans, mostly under the age of 20, were arrested.
