Natalya Gorbanevskaya died
On the night of November 29, a poet, translator, human rights activist Natalya Gorbanevskaya died in Paris at the age of 77, reports Colta.ru. Natalya Evgenievna Gorbanevskaya was born in 1936 in Moscow, graduated from the Philfak of the University of Leningrad. She worked in Moscow as a librarian, a bibliographer, a technical and scientific translator. Since 1959, Gorbanevskaya’s poems spread in Samizdat. In the late 60s, Gorbanevskaya joined the human rights movement.
