Russian filmmakers asked Medvedev to resolve the mat in the cinema
Russian filmmakers wrote a letter addressed to Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev with a request to amend the law on the use of obscene vocabulary in art works, TASS reports. The letter was signed by directors Nikita Mikhalkov, Fedor Bondarchuk, Karen Shakhnazarov, Sergey Miroshnichenko, Oleg Tabakov and Vladimir Khotinenko. In their opinion, the ban on obscene vocabulary in films significantly impoverishes the possibilities of the artistic implementation of the author’s intention.
