1905 Suicide of Savva Morozov
110 years ago, on May 26, 1905, one of the richest people in Russia, a textile manufacturer and philanthropist, Savva Timofeevich Morozov, shot himself in Cannes. He was also a good scientist-chemist, a specialist in dyes. Among other things, Morozov sponsored the Art Theater and the Bolshevik Party, as well as the Mensheviks and the Cadets.
