1990. The murder of the priest Alexander me
25 years ago, on September 9, 1990, Archpriest Alexander Men, a prominent Orthodox theologian, close to the Soviet dissident movement, and one of the initiators of the Christian Samizdat of the 1960s, was killed at the Semhoz station (now on the city of Sergiev Posad). On September 11, on the celebration of the Head of John the Baptist, Archpriest Alexander Men was buried in the cemetery of the Sretensky Church in the new village. In this temple, he served for more than twenty years.
