1941. The execution of Zoe Cosmodemyanskaya
75 years ago, on November 29, 1941, in the village of Petrishchevo near Moscow, the 18-year-old Soviet partisan Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya was hanged. Fulfilling the Stalinist order on the “scorched land”, she set fire to two huts and was captured by local residents when trying to set fire to the barn (according to another version, issued by the traitor, was captured by the Germans at the meeting place with other members of the sabotage group).
