1867. Juzef Pilsudski was born
150 years ago, on December 5, 1867, a Polish revolutionary, military leader and statesman, Marshal Yuzef Pilsudski, who became the first head of the revived Poland in November 1918, was born. In 1920, he successfully ended the war with Soviet Russia, which ensured the independence of Poland and the Baltic countries. In May 1926, Pilsudski made a military coup and installed in Poland a soft authoritarian regime - the “rehabilitation” regime.
