1953 Explosion at the USSR Embassy in Tel Aviv
65 years ago, on February 9, 1953, a bomb with a capacity of 30 kg of TNT was detonated in the Soviet embassy in Tel Aviv. All glass, window frames and doors on the first, second and partially third floors were broken. Three people were injured. Using the explosion as a pretext, the USSR severed diplomatic relations with Israel on February 11. The organizers of the explosion were not found.
